CARES Act

In compliance with the Department of Education’s CARES Act reporting requirements, the following is available:

CRRSAA (early 2021)

The University of Minnesota system is currently preparing to distribute funds allocated from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA). These funds are a resource for students who have encountered unforeseen expenses due to COVID-19.

In compliance with the Department of Education’s CRRSAA reporting requirements, the following will be made available as funds are distributed:

  • CRRSAA Report (coming soon)
  • Quarterly CRRSAA Report: Institutional (coming soon)

In May 2020, the Board of Regents approved distribution principles for the student portion of the Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which includes the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund. It is a resource for students who have encountered unforeseen expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
