Wait lists

If a class is full, check to see if there is a wait list available; if there is you may add yourself to the wait list (see step-by-step instructions). You MUST also complete a Waitlist Request Form. In early December, UMR administrators will review the rationale students listed on the form to determine which students have the highest need. Students with the highest need will be moved to the top of the wait list and will be automatically enrolled if a seat becomes available. If enrollment occurs, you are entering into and agreeing to a legally-binding contract to pay all tuition and fees and non-refundable fees.

At any time prior to being enrolled, you can either remove yourself from the wait list or, once enrolled, drop the class if you no longer want to be enrolled. This is in accordance with the cancel/add and refund deadlines.

Note: this automatic process will not be completed if it will create a time conflict in your schedule. Either arrange your schedule to allow for the wait listed class, or use the "future swap" option.

Instructor permission

For courses that are full and do not have a wait list available, you will need the instructor's permission. To gain permission, you must complete and submit the Corequiste, Prerequisite or Technical Issues form. This form will be reviewed by UMR faculty and administrators; you will be emailed a response within 48 hours of submittal.
